Rufous Hummingbird is a migratory bird species most commonly found in Western North America. It is interesting to note that Rufous Hummingbirds are well known in the world for their temper and are considered the most aggressive of all hummingbird species. Also, it is the majestic bird species that makes one of the longest migratory journeys in the world (measured by body size). 4.Baltimore oriole

Baltimore oriole is a small passerine bird species found commonly in eastern North America. Also, marked as the state bird of Maryland, Baltimore oriole are named so because of their resemblance of the male’s colour to those on the coat of arms of Lord Baltimore. Male Baltimore oriole often sings a loud flutey whistle with a buzzy, bold quality from the tree canopy. Moreover, the Baltimore oriole has a sturdy body with a long tail, long legs and a thick pointed bill. Adult males have deep orange underparts while females have yellow-brown on the upper parts with darker wings. They are commonly found in large leafy deciduous trees but they do not generally reside in deep forests. Furthermore, Baltimore orioles are very adaptable and can reside in a variety of habitats and migrate in open Woodland, forest edge and partially wooded wetlands or stands off trees along rivers.

5.Varied thrush

Commonly seen standing horizontally on the ground or in a tree, Varied thrush stocky passerine Birds with large, rounded heads, straight bills and long legs. Also, they look fabulous with their intense orange and black feather and have plump bellies. Male’s exhibit medium orange with a grey curve at breast, throat, greenish-blue tail ends, scrubs and crown. Females have brown feathers, greyish-brown plumage near the breast. It is a migratory bird species and prefers to live in moist coniferous forests, most commonly in dense, older coniferous forests in higher elevations also these are social Birds often seen in flocks of upto 20 birds and feed on a variety of fruits (though their diet varies through the course of the year).

6.Allen’s hummingbird

Allen’s hummingbirds are small, stocky and compact hummingbirds with straight bills and colourful feathers. Adult males have a greenback and forehead, rust-coloured flanks, rump, tail and orange-red throat. Also, females are almost similar to males but are mostly green exhibiting rufous colour only on the tail. Allen’s hummingbirds are very similar to the Rufous hummingbirds and are generally indistinguishable from one another. These are recognised as some of the most aggressive bird species. These are most commonly found in brushy woods, gardens and feed mostly on nectar, small insects, flower blossoms etc. Also like ok all other hummingbirds, Allen’s hummingbirds have a high rate of metabolism that requires them to feed frequently.

7.Red-Shouldered Blackbird

The red-shouldered Blackbird is primarily native to Cuba and very closely related to the red-winged blackbird species. Also, it is closest relative to the tricolour Blackbird. Red-shouldered black Birds are very rarely seen, hard to identify and distinguish from Red-winged blackbirds. It is entirely bold black with yellowish-orange feathers, a long tail and a sharp-pointed bill. Like Red-winged Blackbird and Tricolored Blackbird, this bird species is also commonly found in open grassy areas, gardens, and feed mostly on seeds, beetles, caterpillars, and another type of insects.
