Blue and Black Tanager are one of the bird species that belongs to the family Thraupidae. The bird species were mostly seen in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. It prefers to thrive in subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It loves to thrive in deciduous, coniferous and mixed forests with close human settlements. The bird species are migratory and spends their winter in Central America and breeding in northern Mexico and the southern United States. Both male and female have different appearances where the male is blue with two brown wing bars and the female species has blue feathers on the upperparts and two brown wing bars. It has been formally described by the Swedish naturalist Carl Linnaeus in 1758 and given the name Loxia caerulea. Talking about the appearance, the male species is deep blue, with both black and brown on its wings. It can grow up to 14 to 19 cm (5.5 to 7.5 in) in length with a total wingspan of 26 to 29 cm (10 to 11 in). The varage wieght of the species is 26 to 31.5 g (0.92 to 1.11 oz).

10.Barn Swallows

The Barn Swallow is a migratory bird that belongs to the group of songbirds. As of now, 6 species of bird is known to humans mostly seen in the regions of Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. It loves to thrive in inhabits fields, meadows and rural areas. It can grow upto 6.7 to 7.5 inches in length with an avarage wieght of 0.56 to 0.78 ounces. The tail feathers can grow upto 0.79 to 2.76 inches long. The varage lifespan of the bird species is 11 years in the wild, however, they rarely live more than 4 years. The main predators of barn swallows are cats, hawks, gulls and grackles. It used to go south during winters to avoid low temperatures and lack of food.
